Obituary for Harold Brummitt Harold Edward Brummitt, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was a member of Persia United Methodist Church. He was raised at Mountain Mission School in Grundy, VA.

He served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He retired from BASF, Morristown, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Exie Holt Brummitt; mother, Ruth Brummitt; sisters, Georgia Laster, Mary Ada Laster; brother, Willie Brummitt.

He is survived by his son, Allen Brummitt; sisters, Sammy K. (Carl) Smith and Irene “Totsy” (Charlie) Fassam; special nieces, Janie (Phil) Weems, Lisa (Eddie) Smith, Maura Weems; several other nieces and nephews and several special friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Signature Lifestyles of Rogersville, Avalon Hospice, and the Veterans Administration, Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mountain Mission School, 1760 Edgewater Drive, Grundy, VA 24614.

The family will have a celebration of life service at Persia United Methodist Church from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 23, 2018 with Preacher Charles Heck officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www. christiansells.com.
