Obituary for Willard Williams Sr. Willard Williams went home to be with his heavenly Father on June 27, 2018. He was born on March 28, 1931. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served for 8 years.

He loved being outdoors, in his garden, fishing, or pitching horseshoes. He was a world champion in Ardmore, OK for NHPA. He loved his family and his Savior.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie M. Williams; father, Tom Williams; brothers, William and Albert Williams; sister, Dorothy White; son, Willard Williams Jr.; and Barbara Ann Frye, the mother of his children. He is survived by his very special friend, grandson and caregiver, Derek Williams; two sons, Paul Williams of Surgoinsville, Darrell Williams and wife Gloria of Surgoinsville; daughter, Teresa (Williams) Jones and husband Brian of Surgoinsville; sisters, Edith and Jerry Jeter of Surgoinsville, Loma Stanley of Surgoinsville, Rosa North of Hickory, NC; brother, Charlie Williams of Supply, NC; five grandkids; seven great grandkids; three great great grandkids; several nieces and nephews; and caregiver, Jackie Adams. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday (06/29/18) at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday (06/30/18) with Rev. Barry Rackley and Rev. Jerry Scalf officiating.

Military graveside services will be conducted by the Tennessee Army National Guard and the Hawkins County Color Guard at 4:00 pm at the old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www. christiansells.com.
