Obituary for Annie Mae Mauk Annie Mae (Martin) Mauk, age 86, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Born on August 13, 1931, she resided in Surgoinsville, TN. She dedicated her life to serving Christ and her family.
She was a devoted Prayer Warrior for her family, church, and many others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harold Franklin Mauk Sr.; her parents, Ruby (McPeak) and James Martin; two sisters, Stella (Martin) Barrett and Nellie (Martin) Davidson; and three brothers, Jay, Tom, and Ed Martin.
She is survived by her six daughters, Vicky Mauk and Ruby (Mauk) Meade of Surgoinsville, Crystal McConnell and husband Lee of Blountville, Cathy Lane and husband Rickey of Kingsport, Reta Tipton and husband Charlie Darrell of Church Hill, and Karen (Mauk) Poirier of Church Hill; two sons, Harold Franklin Mauk Jr. and wife Jody of Rogersville, and David Mauk and wife Shirley of Surgoinsville; nine cherished grandchildren, Steven and Heath McConnell, April Davis and husband Henry, DaRhonda Lane, Jeremiah Lane and wife Megan, Leshia Lane, Christopher Tipton and fiance’ Becky, Eric Tipton and wife Sara, and Tianna Poirier , Mamaw’s Tooter-button; fifteen great-grandchildren, Calvin Griffith, Zoey Faulkner, Madison Davis, Logan, Braelyn, Adrianna, Brandyn, Brooklyn, and Bricyn Lane, Troy, Sydney, Charlee Rhea, Molly Tipton, and Keaton Tyler Cook; two brothers-in-law, Victor “Tot” Barrett, Pete Davidson; and three sisters-in-law, Joyce, Lois and Jeanette Martin; many special nieces and nephews, and a special close family member, Debbie (Mauk) Perry. Thanks to Wellmont-Ballad Hospice Caregivers, Nina and Heather; and Dr. Dan Carroll and his staff for their loving care. The family will receive friends Friday (6/8/18) from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home or anytime at her residence.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ralph Hammonds, Rev. Lowell Miller, and Rev.
Russell Davidson officiating. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Saturday (6/9/18) at The Mauk Family Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 9:45 am Saturday.
