Obituary for Mildred Joyce Burgess Mildred Williams “Mick” Burgess, age 89, of Rogersville, left her blessed life on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from Signature Health Care Center of Rogersville. She was the daughter of the late H. Clyde and Elizabeth Morgan Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Burgess; and a brother, Heiskell Williams.

She was a member of East Rogersville Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was a prayer warrior. Survivors include her brother, Donald H. Williams and wife Ruth; nieces, Kathy Lee and husband Bob, and Cynthia Crawford and husband Glen; nephew, Chuck Williams and wife Cheryl; several great nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Brenda Caldwell and Connie Jones; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2018, from 6:00 until 7:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ron Cassidy officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm in Highland Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.
