Obituary for Matilda Emline Williams Matilda Williams, age 85, of Surgoinsville, passed away Monday (7/16/18) at Hawkins County Memorial Hospital. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Cold Springs Freewill Baptist Church. She retired from Hawkins County Memorial Hospital following more than 32 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Williams; parents, Dudley and Rose Greer; sisters, Inis Greer, Gladys Williams, and Beulah Mauk; brothers, James Greer, Eddie (Skinny) Greer, and A.D. Greer. She is survived by her son, Michael Williams (Margaret); granddaughter, Jessica Franklin (Steven); great-grandsons, Angus Kneschke and Steven Franklin, Jr; daughter, Diane Linkous; grandson, Eric Linkous (Kati); great-granddaughter, Emalyn Linkous; great-grandson, Samuel Linkous; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Kathy Winegar and husband Don. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday (7/19/18) at Christian-Sells Funeral Home or anytime at her residence.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Friday (7/20/18) at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens. Christian-Sells Funeral Home of Rogersville is serving the family.
