Obituary for Julia “Judy” Aldeen JULIA “JUDY” ALDEEN The daughter of Lebanese immigrants, Alexander “Al” and Emily Aldeen, Julia “Judy” Aldeen passed from this earth on Saturday, July 7, 2018, in Vero Beach, Florida. Born on August 25, 1929, Judy spent most of her childhood in Pennsylvania and Michigan. She moved to Kingsport as a teenager, graduating from Dobyns-Bennett High School and then went on to graduate from Sullins College and ETSU.

She taught in both the Bristol, Tennessee, and Vero Beach, Florida, school systems for many years. After teaching, she served as a Ward secretary for Indian River Medical Center. She loved living in Florida, having spent much of her adult life in Vero Beach.

She enjoyed nature and animals as well as the company of her close friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Joseph “Joe” Aldeen; and long-time friend, Casey Kasem, whom she met while living in Detroit, Michigan, as a child. She is survived by her nephew, Mark Aldeen and his wife Debbie Crowe Aldeen; her great-nephews and nieces: Brank Aldeen and wife Melanie, Jon Aldeen and wife Alyson, and April Joy (Aldeen) Walton and her husband Marcus.

Also, her great-great nephews: Wylie and J.W. Aldeen; and great-great niece, Amanda Schofield; and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July14, 2018 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Ron Lowe and Rev.

Mark Stayton officiating. Family and friends wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 am. She will be laid to rest near her father at Oak Hill.
