Obituary for Von Burton Elder Von Burton, age 67, of Rogersville, went to his heavenly home on Friday, June 15, 2018. He preached many years in the Primitive and Missionary Baptist churches. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, A.R. Burton and Myrtle M. Burton; and brother, Ted Burton. Von is survived by his loving wife, Cora Reba Burton; son, Michael Burton; sister, Connie Pendland, Bristol, TN; brothers, Mickey Burton and Pat Burton, Greeneville, TN, Faron Burton, Morristown,TN, and Frank Burton, Rogersville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Pilgrims Rest Primitive Baptist Church in Rogersville.

The funeral ceremony will follow at 7:00 pm with Elder Virgil Lipe, Elder Bill Johnson, and Elder Larry Miller officiating. The graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Christian-Sells Funeral Home is serving the family.
