Obituary for Daniel Keith Guthrie Daniel Keith Guthrie (Danny), 53, of Whitesburg, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday evening, June 22, 2018, from a cardiac arrest. He was a beloved son, brother, friend, and a truly good person to everyone he knew. He loved to garden and build.

He loved animals of all kinds, even to the point of feeding and watering the raccoons that lived in his woods. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He will be sadly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Davis Guthrie. He is survived by his father, James F. Guthrie, Sr. of Rogersville; brother, James F. (Robin) Guthrie, Jr. of Bulls Gap; sister, Alisa Guthrie (Larry) Shropshire of Johnson City; several special nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Poo Bear; dear friends, Jake Hodges and Ron Kent; and many special co-workers at Hamblen County Department of Education. The family will receive friends from 5pm – 7pm on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville, TN.

The funeral service will follow at 7pm, with Larry and Blake Shropshire officiating. Christian-Sells Funeral Home of Rogersville is serving the family. Online condolences may be sent at www.
