Harold L. “Hank” Bainter, 61, of LaHarpe passed away at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born June 13, 1957 in Macomb to Frank W. and L. Rosalie Heaton Bainter. He married Lauren Fraser on January 23, 1988 in Benton, Arkansas.

She survives. Also surviving are his mother, Rosalie Bainter of Macomb; four children, Jette (John) Brasher of El Segundo, California, Tom (Vivi) Jorgensen of Bangkok, Thailand, Donald Tears of Keokuk, Iowa and Jake Paul of Jacksonville, Illinois; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet (Mike) Norris of LaHarpe and one nephew, Brandon (Christine) Norris of Mt. Sterling.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Bainter and one sister, Deanna Bainter. Hank had lived in New York before moving to LaHarpe in 2015. He worked as a yard manager for R&P Lumber.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Janaury 7, 2019 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Memorials may be made to the Harold Bainter Memorial Fund.
