Harold Laslie, age 92 of Harned, KY died Monday, September 17, 2018 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on December 29, 1925, the son of the late John and Josie Pile Laslie. He retired from Texas Gas Transmissions where he was known as “The Banana Man”, was an Army veteran and member of Harned United Methodist Church.

Mr. Laslie enjoyed playing Canasta. gardening, traveling, country music festivals and attending church services. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and always had candy in his pocket for them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Suetta and sisters Sadie Anderson and Helen Tucker. Harold is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Dennis Wayne and Linda Laslie of New Salisbury, IN daughter and son-in-law: Terri Lane and Joe Stinnett of Harned, KY 7 grandchildren: Bobby Stinnett, Amanda Bary, Jonathan Stinnett, Kameko Laslie, Rebecca Nimmo, Matt Laslie and Megan Taul 6 great grandchildren and 1 expected in April 2019. Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 12 PM with Rev.

Bobby Stinnett and Rev. Rebecca Heid officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 4-8 PM and Thursday after 8 AM. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to American Heart Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
