OBITUARY Harry Eugene Bradley Jr. February 16, 1938 – September 22, 2018 Harry Eugene (Gene) Bradley, Jr. passed away on September 22, 2018. Gene was born on February 16, 1938 in Fairfield, Alabama, the only son of Harry Eugene Bradley, Sr. and Anne Frances Walton Bradley. In his teen years, the family moved to Dallas, Texas.

Gene graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas in 1956. Following graduation, he attended Texas Tech University for 1 ½ years from September 1956 to December 1957. Gene met his wife, Ailene Bratcher, in December 1957, and they married in May 1958.

He worked as a piping draftsman for 43 years for various companies. His hobbies were woodworking and woodturning; he made many beautiful pieces. His favorite past-time was watching the University of Houston women’s fast-pitch softball and all other sports he could follow.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Ailene Bratcher Bradley; his daughters Pamela Kay Bradley (Austin, TX) and Janice Lea Mitchell (Spring, TX); 3 grandchildren, Jason Michael Davis, Nicole Alexandria Mitchell, and Michael Joseph Mitchell; and granddaughter-in-law, Rebecca Ramirez Mitchell (all in Houston, TX); his sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Charles Zink (Lacey, WA); his sister Lynn Vier (Lubbock, TX); and 3 nephews and 4 nieces. At the time of his passing, Gene was at home in the care of Hospice.
