Sarasota – Harry Kellogg Robb, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Sarasota FL December 19, 2018. He was born in Atlanta, GA on November 25, 1938. Just out of high school, he joined the Army Reserves, and proudly served our country.

He then began his career in the Industrial Rubber Industry working his way from warehouseman to Regional Sales Manager of a major hose and belting manufacturing company. Hooper, Jr He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry K. Robb, Sr. and Jacquetta Kilmer Robb, and by his brothers, Phillip and Leslie Robb.

Harry is survived by his spouse, Jane Robb; his sisters, Minette Sailors, and Kay Streater; his children, Connie Polin, Harry K. Robb III (Teresa), Jackie Britt (Dan); his stepchildren, Lori Phillips, Cami Burdette (Mike), Staci Pickavance (Steve); his grandchildren, Ginny Johnson, Laura Mays-Polin, Caitlyn Robb, Amy Robb, Erin Robb, Eric Mercer, Brent Lockwood, Josh Hain, Logan Pickavance, Bailey Williamson and six great-grandchildren. He was a member of NIBA the Belting Association for 43 years serving on various committees, the board of directors and as the Association’s President in 1986. He became an honorary member in 2017, the equivalent of a lifetime achievement award within the industry.

He was a leader, mentor, friend, and well respected within the industry. For many years Harry merged his love of flying with his efforts to grow the business, traveling throughout the Southeast. He loved spending time on or around the water.

He was a boater, and a member of the Field Club in Sarasota. He had a great passion for leisure travel. He and Jane visited many countries throughout his years.

His stories about the history and culture of those countries visited will truly be missed. An avid reader, Harry followed business trends, enjoyed mystery novels and World War II era history. Harry will be most missed for his leadership, kindness, and his dedication to his family.

A visitation will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801 with a service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Gardens, 2125 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801.
