Harvey Lee Grant, 67, of 1756 Delview Road, Cherryville, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home. Born in Cleveland County on February 18, 1951, he was a son of the late Paul Lee Grant and Adelene Fitch Grant. He was retired from as a foreman from Beam House Movers, Cherryville.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of thirty-eight years Elaine Gladden Grant; great-granddaughter, Jaylah Kassidy Hart; three brothers, Everette Grant, Sr, Billy… Read More » Grant, and Hazel Grant and two sisters, Sara Grant Hull and Ercell Ann Grant. He is survived by his son Benjamin Grant and wife Katelyn of Gastonia; two daughters, Karen Reep and husband, Ronald of Lincolnton and Janet Richard and fiancé, David Hamrick of Cherryville; brother, Steve Grant and wife, Juanita of Shelby; two sisters, Frances Booth and husband Kenneth of Cherryville and Mabel Christine Pearson of Shelby, six grandchildren, Kathy Hart and husband Trey, Jeffrey Richard, Jessica Richard, Isabella Grant, Bradley Grant, and Aubrey Grant; and great-grandson, Jerimah Tucker Hart. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chad Jones officiating. The burial will follow in the Ledford Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
