Obituary for Harvey “Red” Bays Harvey H. “Red” Bays, 102 of Evansville, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, at The Protestant Home. He was born July 5, 1916, in Lincoln, IL to the late Harvey and Anna (Campbell) Bays. Harvey was raised in Spencer Co. Indiana.

He was very proud of his alma mater Chrisney High School class of 1935 and cherished living in Chrisney and Tell City. He always respected the residences of Perry and Spencer Co. Harvey was a retired Manufacturing Representative. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

He was a member Lessing Masonic Lodge #464, Hadi Temple, Scottish Rite, Royal Order of Jesters, Swords of Bunker Hill, and 34th Select Group. He was also a member of The Evansville Kennel Club where he served as a director and the nominating committee. He was a member of the YMCA, Owls, past member of Oak Meadow Country Club and was a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his sons, Dennis (Judy) Bays and Harvey (Carol) Bays; grandchildren, Douglas Bays, Jerri Jo Proctor, Dusty Snivley, Angela Carlson, Taryn Holbrook, Michelle and Mike Wallace; 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2012, Georgia Bays; and his parents. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 pm, Sunday August 5, 2018 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel 800 S. Hebron, Evansville, IN 47714.

Funeral service will begin at 10:00 am, Monday, August 6, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Don Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.
