OBITUARY Stanley Ray Johnson July 19, 1936 – July 25, 2018 Stanley Ray Johnson, 82, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at North Park Nursing. He was born July 19, 1936 in Memphis, TN to the late Miller and Hettie (Dunn) Johnson. He served as medic in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of VFW Post 1114.

Stanley retired from CSX railroad after 36 years. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed playing golf, swimming, diving, spending time with family, and square dancing with his wife Faye. Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Faye; brother, Miller and granddaughter, Kyrstal.

He is survived by daughter, Nancy Hoppenstedt (George); daughter, Joy Wells; granddaughters, Michelle Wells, Natalie Payne (Ethan), Madeline Hoppenstedt, and Lydia Hoppenstedt; grandson, Jonathan Hoppenstedt, and great-grandchildren, Lily Bowlds, Octavia Penner and Rylie Payne. A Funeral Service will be 1:00PM, Friday, July 27, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Rev. Cliff Herring, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Friends may visit Friday from 11:00AM to service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 1114. Condolences may be made online at www.
