OBITUARY Catherine Laughary September 4, 1921 – July 8, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Catherine M. Laughary, 96, of Evansville, passed away July 8, 2018. She was born in Owensboro, KY, on September 4, 1921, to the late Charles and Lora Talley. Years ago Catherine worked as a welder at Servel before becoming a stay at home mom caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, camping, and hiking. Catherine also enjoyed crafts, ceramics, and painting. She loved to bake cakes, candies, and cookies.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Laughary. Catherine is survived by her daughter, Peggy Greathouse (Rusty); son, Jon Laughary; grandchildren, Cheryl Kendall, David Babb, Jason Babb, Brad Laughary (Joanna), Jon Laughary; great grandchildren, Sarah Habberfield (Tyler), Rebecca Kendall (Michael); great great-grandchild, Evelyn Stepura; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service was held 2:00 on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Dr. Larry Lewis, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park.

Friends visited from 12:00 noon until service time on Saturday, at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Pavilion for the care they gave to Catherine during her time there. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesselman Wood’s.
