Calvin “Doug” Rickard, 65, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Doug was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 31, 1952 to the late Sanders and Bettie June (Qualls) Rickard. He was a graduate of Bosse High School and worked in construction.

Doug previously worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed camping, traveling, cruises, concerts, listening to classic rock and playing the drums. Doug also enjoyed classic cars, watching sports,… Read More » playing pool and volleyball.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Doug was very kind hearted who helped others before himself and will be greatly missed. Doug is survived by his high school sweetheart and his wife of 46 years, Linda (Lindy) Rickard of Evansville, IN; daughter, April Waterman (Jake Carroll); son, Zac Rickard (Tonya); sisters, Sandra Schili (James), Marta Condict (Dan) and Becky Rickard; grandchildren, Patrick Waterman, Lauren Emery, Anthony Wilson, Kaitlyn and Haileigh Rickard, Ashlynn Dillon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents. A private celebration of Doug’s life will be held for family and close friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Old National Bank c/o Calvin “Doug” Rickard’s memorial fund #9921.
