OBITUARY Hazel A Thacker May 14, 1930 – January 25, 2019 Hazel “Aileen” Thacker age 88 of Gardendale, Alabama, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019. Aileen was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was loved very much and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Thacker worked at Norwood Clinic for 25 years.

She enjoyed being a grandmother who was known by her grandchildren as “Othermama” and a great grandmother. Aileen was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Norman Thacker and her parents, Thomas and Ada Mae Killian, her sisters, Juanita Richbau, Bellingham, WA; Edith Cockerham, El Monte, CA; and her brothers, Leon Killian, Clifton Killian, and Vernon Killian (died as an infant). Aileen is survived by her daughter, Karen Williams (Ted); a sister, Doris Wilkerson Lamm, Adamsville, TN; her grandchildren, Russ Williams (Lisa) and Misti Williams; great-grandchildren, Easton and Barrett Williams.

Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Sunday, January 27th at 1:00 p.m., with the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
