OBITUARY Hazel Jean Oldham June 11, 1941 – January 17, 2019 Services for Hazel Jean Oldham, 77, of Wells, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church in Wells. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Gipson Funeral Home. Mrs. Oldham was born June 11, 1941 in Cherokee County, Texas to parents, Jim and Rosa Ethel (Lee) Hadaway. She passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Lufkin.

She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Oldham was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed fishing with her husband Harold.

He was a 32nd Mason with Masonic Lodge #915 A.F. & A.M. and she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Oldham attended Falvey Methodist Church in Wells, Texas. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, William “Glenn” and Amanda Oldham of Nacogdoches, Harold “Kent” and Cindy Oldham of Wells, Kerry Hugh and Nancy Oldham of Pollok; daughter, Cathy Oldham Angers and husband, Angie Angers of Kerrville; grandchildren, Randy Coe, Tracy Coe, Ashley Chandler, Susan Simmons, Traci Jones, Melanie Dittman, Beverly Oldham, Cassie Schroeder, Matthew Oldham, Chris Durrett, Angelia Conway and Kelly Snyder; 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Earl Hadaway of Houston; sister, Evelyn Tullos of Apple Springs; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, William “Harold” Oldham of Wells; daughter, Debbie Jean Eades of Birmingham, Alabama; brothers, Robert “Sherwood” Hadaway, George Washington Hadaway, and Lee “Edmond” Hadaway of Wells; sisters, Estelle Simmons of Huntington, Garvis Nell Middleton of Kirbyville, and Jimmie Tims of Wells. Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered at www.
