Obituary for Helen E. Dickinson (Karns) Helen E. Dickinson, 89, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018. She was born Thursday, July 4th, 1929 in Everett, a daughter of the late Albert Karns and Clara (Pittman) Karns. On March 10th, 1953 in Cumberland, she married Clair O. “Jake” Dickinson who passed away on January 3rd, 2011.

She is survived by their children, Shirley L. Vinson and husband Mark Vinson of Harrisonville, Connie A. Conrath and husband Robert Conrath of Everett, Jeanne S. Roscoe and husband Stephen Roscoe of Everett, Debra K. Sarver and husband Edward Sarver of Manns Choice, Ricky E. Dickinson and wife Bonnie (Duran) Dickinson of Crystal Spring, Terry L. Dickinson and companion Deb Colledge of Everett, Timmy L. Dickinson of Everett, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren with at least one more on the way, a sister Patty Foster of Hopewell, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by a sister Mildred Busick and two brothers Ralph Karns and Charles Karns. In her younger years, Helen worked with her family on their farm, and after her marriage to Jake, she was a dedicated homemaker and mother who also worked with her husband painting and wallpapering many home throughout the Bedford, Fulton and Cambria counties.

At home she enjoyed working word find puzzles, was an excellent baker and was also a talented seamstress who enjoyed embroidering table clothes, pillow cases and making doilies. She will be truly missed for the love and kindness she shared with her family and friends. Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett with Pastor Daniel J. Oldham officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www. dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Roaring Run EUB Cemetery in Wells Tannery.
