Obituary for Helen Floura Boyd (Fuller) Mrs. Helen Floura Boyd, age 89, of the Gardner section of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (February 5, 2019) at her home. Born April 27, 1929 in Drill, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Nora Perkins Fuller. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Freewill Baptist faith.

She enjoyed working in her flower garden, but most of all spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G. Paul Boyd, one grandson, Shannon Hubbard, two sisters, Leona Hatfield and Beulah Fuller, and four brothers, Carl Fuller, William “June” Fuller, Jr., James Fuller, and Earl Lee Fuller. Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Ann Ball and husband, Lester of Honaker; two sons, Sherman Boyd and wife, Christine of Honaker, and Ronnie Boyd and wife, Saundra of Elk Garden; one sister, Eura Meade and husband, Tommy; one brother, Luther Fuller; five grandchildren, Rachelle Fry and husband, Todd, Shaun Boyd and wife, Lori, Angie Vanover and husband, Brian, Dreama McGlothlin and husband, Brian, and Michael Boyd; nine great-grandchildren, Ethan VanDyke, Jenna Fry, Cameron Fry, Dylan Boyd, Noah Boyd, Colby Vanover, Abigail Vanover, Jaden Campbell, and Channing Hubbard and two great-great grandchildren, Reagan VanDyke, and Jace May.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Helping Hands Hospice for the loving care they provided. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. David Perkins and Rev.

Randall Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Boyd Cemetery at Miller Creek. Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Friday, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
