Helen Irene Schaub January 20, 1928 – January 28, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Helen Irene Schaub died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Providence St. Mary Hospital. Helen was born in Walla Walla on January 20, 1928 to parents Charles Palmer and Mary Hughey-Palmer. She was a lifelong area resident attending local schools and graduation from Walla Walla High School in 1945.

At a young age her father Charles died leaving Mary with three small children. Later Mary Married Omar McDowell who raised Helen and her two younger brothers. In the following years three more children were born.

Helen Married George Allen Schaub in 1947 they had four children. Helen is survived by two brothers Richard McDowell and Lee McDowell, two daughters Sherry Schaub-Nussbaum and Jenifer Schaub, Son Paul Schaub, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, Helen is preceded in death by husband George Schaub, son Steven Schaub, father Charles Palmer, mother Mary McDowell, two brothers Charles Palmer and Robert Palmer and sister Linda McDowell-Selby. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens, College Place, WA.

at 1:00PM with a reception following at the same location. Memorial Contributions in Helens name may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W.
