Obituary for Helen L Bell (Matthews) Helen L. Matthews Bell, 90, widow of Paul I. Bell, died Monday, December 17, 2018 at Palmetto Health Tuomey. Born March 4, 1928, in Orangeburg County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Matthews and the late Janie Singletary Matthews. Mrs. Bell was a member of First Baptist Church.

She retired from Campbell Soup Company after 22 years of service. Survivors include one son, Karl Bell (Cindy) of Sumter; and one daughter, Cynthia Bell of Sumter. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev.

Ronnie Morris officiating. Memorials may be made to the Sumter SPCA, 1140 S. Guignard Dr,, Sumter, SC 29150. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
