Helen M. Wilson, age 87, of Blanchester, Ohio, passed away Thursday evening, May 3, 2018 at the Lebanon Country Manor Nursing home in Lebanon, Ohio surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 30, 1930 in Berrysville, Ohio, daughter of the late Samuel Lewis & Ida Francis (Shelton) Rhoades. In July of 1948, she married James Stanley Wilson, who preceded her in death.

Helen retired as a nurses aide from the Clinton Memorial Hospital and had also worked at Frisch’s. She was a lifetime member of the Wilmington VFW Post #6710. Surviving are her daughters- Gwen McIntire of Lebanon, Lois (Bob) Williams of Wilmington, Wanda Louiso of Hillsboro, & Francis (Rick) Purkey of Hillsboro; son- James (Lora) Wilson of Lynchburg; 3 granddaughters; 10 grandsons, who will have the honor of being pallbearers; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her grandson- Samuel Purkey. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Clinton County Memory Gardens, Center Road, Wilmington, Ohio with Pastor Earl Vanscoy officiating. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.
