Obituary for Helen P. Brown Helen P. Brown, age 96, formerly of Carl Junction, Mo. , passed away on Tuesday January 22, 2019, at Joplin Health & Rehab, following an illness. Helen was born on January 1, 1923 in Marshfield, Mo.
, the daughter of the late David and Augusta (Good) Caughran. She married William Harl on January 28, 1942, together they raised three children. She worked many years as a monitor tech for St. John’s Hospital.
Following retirement, she moved to Grove, Ok. She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Harl in 1972.
She married Harold Brown in 1975. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Harl in 1975.
; and several brothers and sisters. Helen is survived by one daughter, Sharon Walker and husband Delmer, Guthrie, Ok. ; one son, James “Jim” Harl and wife Rebecca, Webb City, Mo.
; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Carl Junction Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. on Friday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
