Helen Ray Ferguson passed away at her home in Whitney, Texas on December 02, 2018. Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday December 15, 2018 at Driggers and Decker Family Funeral Home at 10:00AM. Helen was born on January 20, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to Frank and Lillie Mae Glass.

Helen was the youngest of 4 daughters and Paw Paw’s baby. She attended W.H. Adamson High School in Oak Cliff where she enjoyed being apart of the drill team. She loved to dance, especially country western dancing.

Helen has a special place in her heart for animals. She would be the first one to take in a stray if they needed a home. Her passion from a young age was horses.

She spent many years with her Blue Roan horse, Jody, participating in playdays and barrel racing. She felt free on the back of her horse and enjoyed every minute she got to spend with Jody. In addition to Jody, Helen had a special Chihuahua named Honey.

Honey became like another child to her and Honey adored Helen and the boys. Helen was a caring and giving mother. Even when her boys tried to take care of her, she made sure they were taken care of first.

Helen devoted her life to her sons, her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, she will be missed by all. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sylvia Wilson and Tillie Johnson; Paw Paw, J.B. Breazeale and brother-in-law, Ned Harrison. She is survived by her children, Danny Ferguson and his wife, Schatzi, James Ferguson and his wife, Barbara and Jerry Ferguson and his wife, Tara; grandchildren, Josh Gray , Kyle Ferguson, Maci Ferguson, Eric Braley, Blake Ferguson, Austin McDaniel, Ally Sanders, Johnathan Sanders, Christian Ferguson, Lane Ferguson, and Raegan Ferguson; great- grandchildren, Ashlynn Ray and Logan McDaniel; sister, Sue Harrison; nieces, J.J. Scott, Susan Routh, Kristi Keesler and Trisha Stetzel and nephew, Eric Routh.
