Helen Rhyne Deitz Moore, 85, of Asheville died Sunday, June 17, 2018. She was born July 12, 1932 in Hickory, NC. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Helen Deitz Knaack and William Preston Deitz.

Surviving is her husband, Robert F. Moore, daughter Catherine Moore Lawhon (Ken) and son, Julian A. Moore II (Carol), seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A member of the Town and Country and French Broad River Garden Clubs, Helen loved flowers and loved people, and both loved her back. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where her celebration of life will be held on at Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11am.

At Trinity, Helen sang in the choir for 35 years, served on the Altar Guild and was a loyal member of the Daughters of the King. Memorial gifts may be made to the Trinity Church Music Fund, 60 Church Street, Asheville, 28801. Special thanks go to Roxi Hanson and the staff of the north wing of the Solace Center.
