Obituary for Joseph Lamy Joe Lamy, 62, of Asheville, died on Monday, June 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Joe was born on October 18, 1955 and lovingly adopted by Lucile Guilka Lamy and the late Ray Lamy. In addition to his mother he is also survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Lamy; his daughter, Elizabeth Lamy-Santos and her husband, David, of York, SC; his son, Philip Lamy of Asheville and his sister, Carol Walker and her husband, Gene, of Raleigh.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 2:00PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, 97 Haywood Street with Fr. Morris Boyd celebrating. Inurnment will follow at Lewis Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home, 304 Merrimon Avenue. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Western Carolina Rescue Mission, PO BOX 909, Asheville, NC 28802 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
