Geraldine Elizabeth Wade Brown, 85, of Fairview, went to be with the Lord on May 26, 2018. Geraldine was born on March 2, 1933 to Bettie and Clarence Wade. Geraldine was a dedicated wife, mother and nurse.

She retired as an RN from Hospice and Home Healthcare of Edgecombe County. She was a member of Trinity of Fairview Church. Geraldine enjoyed reading, crocheting, and singing at church.

In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jean Rivera; five brothers, Bruce, Clarence Jacob Jr., Gordon, Carol and Baby Boy Wade; two sisters, Myrtle and Hazel. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 65 years, Jerry Douglas Brown; sons, Brent Brown of Fairview, NC; Keith (Irma) Brown of Duluth, GA; Neal (Cheryl) Brown of Fairview, NC; Angelo (Natalie) Barfield of Rocky Mount, NC; daughter, LeaVern Brown (DeGaulle) Satorra of Holly Springs, NC; sisters, Irene Graham, Betty Jean Brindell, Nancy Ayers, Rose Cameron, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Trinity of Fairview Church on Concord Road at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to JF Keever Jr. Solace Center, 21 Belvedere Road Asheville, NC 28803 in memory of Geraldine.
