Obituary for Henry H. Kirn Henry H. Kirn, 97, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Friday, July 20, 2018 at Missouri Veteran’s Home. He was born October 14, 1920 in Randles, Missouri to Joseph and Willemina Werth Kirn. He and Norma Caton were married August 22, 1953 at Jackson, Missouri.

She preceded him in death on October 30, 2000. He served in the Army in World War II. He received his Bachelors in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University and was a member of Webster’s Society.

He was a supervisor at Saint Louis Post Office from 1969-1983, retiring in 1983. He also owned Kirn Brothers Hauling and Excavating in Chaffee, Missouri. He was a member of VFW Post 3838.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include his one son, James M.(Susan) Komis of Wentzville, Missouri; one daughter, Katherine Komis of Marathon, Florida; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; wife; one son, Jack E. Komis; six brothers; and five sisters.

Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with the Deacon Mark Kiblinger officiating.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be given to Missouri Veterans Home or Southeast Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.
