Henry Joseph Samora May 5, 1940 – July 24, 2018 Clearfield – Henry Samora, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on May 5, 1940 in Delta, Colorado the son of Ralph and Lena Rodarte Samora. Henry had resided in Colorado, Washington and most of his life in Utah.

Henry married Mable Anita Samora in 1966 in Elko, Nevada. They later divorced but remained best friends forever. He loved fishing, hunting, shooting pool, playing poker with family in his younger years, now in his older years spending time with family.

He especially loved being entertained by his great-grandson Eliot Samora. Surviving are his children, Shiela (Tom) Nichols, Debbie (Richard) Samora-Hernandez, Cherral O’hanahan, Valerie (Noel) Hernandez, Alfred Samora, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Dee Samora-Pecht and Elizabeth (Tino) Lovato. Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Jacqie Samora, brothers and sisters.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton. Utah. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No.

Fairfield Road. A vigil with Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery. The family would like to thank Hearts for Hospice and a special thanks to his nurse Heather.
