Henry “Ray” Venson, 95, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Solarbron Retirement Center. He was born February 26, 1924 in Sacramento, KY to the late Annie and Henry Venson. Ray served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.

He retired from JH Rudolph after 50 years of service as a superintendent. He was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God and enjoyed woodworking. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ray is survived by his son, Keith (Bonnie) Venson; grandchildren, Ryan and Brett Venson; great grandchild, Savannah Venson; brothers, Arthur, Norman, David, Earl, and Cashal Venson; sisters, Louise, Mary, Bobby June and Anna Beth. In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by wife, Katherine (Ricketts) Venson; and daughter Mary Kay Venson. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave.

, Evansville. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the funeral home with Reverend Jeff Edmundson officiating. Burial will be at Locust Hill Cemetery.
