Kordek, 91, of Mundelein Illinois passed away on December 29th, 2018 with her family by her side Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Wednesday January 9, 2018 at Kristan Funeral Home 219 West Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt. 45 on Rt.

176) Mundelein. Funeral service will begin at 7 PM. Hilda was raised by parents William and Barbara Lonie of Luzerne Pennsylvania.

At the age of 22, Hilda and her sweetheart, (John F. Kordek) boarded a train from Pennsylvania and arrived in Chicago. Hilda and John were married on December 11th, 1949 in Chicago, raised an amazing family and were blessed with health and happiness throughout their 55-year marriage. Hilda was a devoted, hardworking, generous, funny and selfless wife, mother and grandmother that loved holidays, family dinners, and family vacations.

We will miss our mom greatly as she and our dad provided a stable, comfortable and loving home for all of us. Hilda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ed Raynor of Fontana WI, daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Michael Batey of Vernon Hills Il, son and daughter-in-law, John and Christi Kordek of Gilberts Il, son Robert Kordek of Grayslake, IL. Hilda and John were also blessed with 6 Grandchildren, Melissa Raynor, Ed Raynor Jr, Scott Raynor, Krista Batey, Sara Kordek, Benjamin Kordek, and two Great Grandchildren Russel Ratskoff and Eliza Ratskoff.

Additional family members are her loving sister, Helen Dickson of Luzerne PA, John Cunningham, Susan Mordini Kordek, Ben Ratskoff, Armando and Sophia Paredes and Barbara Donnelly. In lieu of flowers, Hilda’s preference would be that each of us perform a “random act of kindness” to an unexpecting recipient *The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Mercy Bautista and Jana Gubba as they provided 24-hour care for our mom, allowing her to live in the comfort of her own home. They are caring, generous and loving individuals that tended to her every need.
