Obituary for Hilda L. Carnes Hilda L. Carnes, 82 of Tarrs formerly of Pennsville died Tuesday September 18, 2018 at her home. She was born May 18, 1936 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Jake and Rose Riggin O’Nell. Hilda was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Connellsville.
She is survived by her sons, Harry W. “Goat” Carnes and his companion Judy of Mount Pleasant, Joseph Carnes and his companion Nancy Povlik of Mount Pleasant, Jerry Carnes and his companion Jen Palmiscno of Mount Pleasant and Robert Carnes and his companion Jordan Stevy of Tarrs; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Torrance and Arlene Torrance, both of Waterford, Michigan; two brothers, Ronald O’Nell and his wife Beatrice and David O’Nell, both of Connellsville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Paul Wilkins of Tarrs, Lucille Carnes of Broadford and Joyce Carnes of Mount Pleasant. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Harry Carnes; a son, Edward Carnes, sisters, Wanda Graft and Nellie Osler; brothers, Wayne, Glenn, John, Russell and Thomas O’Nell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Rita Carnes, Elmer and Faye Carnes, Butch and Norma Carnes , Kenny Carnes and Ray Carnes. Friends will be received from 1-9 P.M. Saturday and Sunday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant where services will be held on Monday at 2:00 P.M. with Rev.
James Turnbull officiating. Entombment will follow in Middle Presbyterian Cemetery Mausoleum. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Excela Hospice for their care of Mrs.Carnes and for Mr.Carnes, who died several years ago, and all other family and friends who assisted in both their care over the past years.
