Obituary for Vera Martin Keslar Vera Martin Keslar, 92, of Somerset, formerly of Ligonier and Melcroft, passed away peacefully early Tues. morning Sept. 11, 2018 in the Patriot Manor, Somerset.

She was born June 29, 1926 in Sagamore, Saltlick Twp. , Fayette County, a daughter of the late Dominick and Theresa Rose DeLorenza Martin. Vera was a former waitress for the former Mom’s Valley Inn at Melcroft and the Mountain Club at Seven Springs.

She was also a former member of the Valley Brethren Church in Jones Mills. Vera was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved dogs and had many pets dogs throughout her life.

Vera will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children Richard Keslar and wife Beverly of Norvelt, Keith Keslar and wife Lori of Ligonier, and Barbara Keslar of Somerset, her daughter-in-law Sharon Keslar of Melcroft, her 9 grandchildren, and her 13 great grandchildren. Vera was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents Vera was predeceased by her husband Harold Lloyd Keslar, a son James Keslar, her sisters Angeline Johnson, Mary Bennington, and Vera Grimm, and her brothers Sam, Fred, Richard, Adam, Tom, Carl, Davis, and Tony Martin.

Family and friends will be received Thurs. from 10 AM – 2 PM, the hour of a Funeral Service in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of Route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd. , Melcroft (724-455-2310), with Pastor Ron Dugan officiating.
