Obituary for Edward Eugene Stouffer Edward Eugene Stouffer, 67, of Alverton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tue. Oct. 16, 2018 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born August 1, 1951 in Bakersville, Somerset County, a son of the late Thomas A. and Catherine Wyant Stouffer. Ed was a graduate of Somerset High School. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army.

He worked as a Truck Driver for ESTES Truck Line in Washington, PA. . Ed was very good at his profession and was awarded status in the Million Miles Safe Driving Experience for Commercial Truck Drivers.

He was a member of the St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant and the Mt. Pleasant VFW.

Ed was an avid golfer and was a member of the Norvelt Golf Club. Ed was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his loving wife of 36 years, Diana Mullen Stouffer, his children Gregory Stouffer and wife Lisa of Scottdale, Patrick E. Stouffer of Alverton, and Samantha Stouffer and boyfriend Evan of Alverton, his granddaughter Ashley Watson, his great granddaughter Emma Grace, his sisters Nancy Walker , Tomalee Will and husband Robert, Jan Fochtman, all of Somerset, his sister-in-law Patty Stouffer of Somerset, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Ed was predeceased by a brother Tom Stouffer and a sister Judy Brant. Family and friends will be received Fri. from 2-9 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mt.

Pleasant (724-547-3800) where a Blessing Service will be held Sat. at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in the St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant, with Rev.

Richard Kosisko as celebrant. A committal service and interment will follow in St. Pius X Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.

Military rites will be conduct at the cemetery. A Parish Wake Service will be held Fri. at 3:00 PM in the funeral home.
