Obituary for James M. Lawrence James M. Lawrence 74 of Acme passed away on November 21, 2018 at the home he loved on the top of the slopes in Bear Rocks. He was born December 24, 1944 in Pittsburgh and he was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Richardson Lawrence. Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years Mary Haberlin Lawrence; his beloved daughter Sarah and her husband Doug Drelich; two beautiful grandchildren, Dylan and Fiona Drelich and one baby boy that he won’t meet.

Also surviving is his sister, Elizabeth Jones and her husband Bill and one niece Margaret Jones. Jim was a member of the first graduating class of Fox Chapel High School and a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College. He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and an accomplished helicopter pilot.

His career was long and varied and led him to work all over the United Sates. Jim will be missed and remembered by many. At Jim’s request, all funeral arrangements are private.
