Obituary for Barbara Lorraine (Sandusky) Griffiths Barbara Lorraine (Sandusky) Griffiths, 86, of Connellsville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her home. She was born August 26, 1932 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Frederick and Kathryn (McGarrity) Sandusky. She graduated from the former Immaculate Conception High School in Connellsville with the Class of 1950 and was retired after a long career as a secretary for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception R. C. Church and was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge 503 in Connellsville. She is survived by a sister, Mary Diane Zukaitis, of Oceanside, New York, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Griffiths, Jr. (Feb.

23, 2003); a brother, Robert C. Sandusky; a half-brother, Melvin F. Sandusky; and a brother-in-law, Charles P. Zukaitis. At Lorraine’s request, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Immaculate Conception R. C. Church, 148 East Crawford Avenue, Connellsville, on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.

Father Daniel J. Ulishney as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. All arrangements are under the direction of the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Pa.
