Obituary for Joyce J. Rutter Raupach Joyce J. Rutter Raupach, 85, a lifelong resident of Connellsville, passed away peacefully on Wed. Oct. 31, 2018 in the Eicher’s Family Home, Normalville, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
She was born Nov. 23, 1932 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Harold J. and Gladys Bryner Rutter. Joyce was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1950.
She was employed by Mervis Furniture as a bookkeeper, H & R Block as a Tax Consultant, and she prepared taxes for people for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Albright United Methodist Church in South Connellsville and was active in the choir and many social activities. Joyce will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her husband Wilford C. Raupach to whom she was married for 66 years, and her son Robert D. Raupach and wife Janet of South Connellsville.
She was also the proud grandmother of Bobbi Jo Soos and husband John of Beaver Falls and great grandchildren Ryan, Jonathan, and Emily, grandson Michael Andrew Raupach of New York, and granddaughter Nicole Raupach of Nashville, TN. Joyce also leaves behind her sister Gayle Rutter Kaider of Uniontown, brother Jay Rutter of South Connellsville, and sister Debra Jeske and husband Ted of Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Joyce was predeceased by her 2 sons Dennis and Timothy C. Raupach, her grandson Bobby S. Raupach, and her sister Doris Holt.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Hospice and Eicher’s Family Home for the exceptional care given to our loved one during the past several months. Family and friends will be received Fri. from 2-8 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville (724-628-1430) where a Funeral Service will be held Sat.
at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steven Lamb and Rev. Dr. Marvin C. Watson officiating.
