Obituary for Eva Ruth Roadman Duchek Eva Ruth Roadman Duchek, 70, of Vanderbilt, passed away peacefully Sat. Nov. 3, 2018 at her home , while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 12, 1948 in Alverton a daughter of the late James Guyer and Helen Ruth Grimm Roadman. Eva had worked at Burns Drug Store in Connellsville, Thorofare Supermarket and for the Connellsville Area School District.
She attended the Connellsville Alliance Church. Eva enjoyed gardening, cooking, bus trips, and family picnics, but the thing she enjoyed the most was being with her grandchildren. Eva will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving husband of 53 years, J.B. Duchek, her son Steven Duchek and wife Deanne of Vanderbilt, her grandchildren Amanda Dorohovich and husband John of Plum and Steven Duchek, Jr. of Vanderbilt, her siblings, James “Buzzy” Roadman and wife Ellen of Vanderbilt, Shirley Chambers of Vanderbilt, Robert Roadman and wife Beatrice of Connellsville, Ina Bentz of Alverton, Danny Roadman and wife Kathy of Dickerson Run, and Cindy Hatfield and husband Paul of Connellsville, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Eva was predeceased by her son J.B. Duchek, Jr., and siblings Margaret Pritts, Betty Schwartz, Alverda Duchek, Charles “Tucker” Roadman, Emory Roadman, Ronnie Roadman, and Laura Belle Roadman. Family and friends will be received Wed. from 2-9 PM and Thur.
