Obituary for Betty Jane (Dayoob) Adkins Betty, 87, formally of Johnstown, died 25 October 2018 at Spanish Trails Nursing Home in Albuquerque, New Mexico after a long illness. Born November 26, 1930 in Everson PA the daughter of Alex and Alice (Nassar) Dayoob. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dwight O. Adkins, daughter Carol Adkins, brothers George, John, Abraham and Edward Dayoob and sisters Adele Adams, Genevieve Salamone, Marie Hyde, and Rose Bagonia.

She is survived by brothers Richard Dayoob, Chandler, AZ, James Dayoob, Scottdale PA and sister Hellen Eicher, Camarillo CA. Betty is also survived by her son Ronald Adkins, and his wife Suzanne ,Rio Rancho NM, son Dwight Adkins, Albuquerque NM, and daughter Sheila Woodall and her husband James Santan Valley AZ, and daughter Anita Sterling of San Francisco CA. Betty has 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Betty was a member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, Johnstown PA. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at Brooks Funeral Home, 111 E Green St, Connellsville, PA 15425 on Monday November 12th 2018 at 1:00PM. Dwight Adkins will be receiving family & friends between 12:00 & 1:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home “In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “St. Mary Special Projects Fund”.
