Obituary for Lanny R. Ulery Lanny R. Ulery, 76 of Donegal died Friday November 9, 2018 in Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe. He was born March 22, 1942 in Mount Pleasant a son of the late Donald and Kathryn Ulery Ulery. Lanny was a 1960 graduate of the former Ramsay High School, Mount Pleasant.

He then graduated and received his bachelors degree from Waynesburg College in 1965 and received his masters degree from West Virginia University. He was a school teacher having taught for the Mount Pleasant Area School District at the Donegal Elementary School for 38 years, retiring in 2002. He was an active member of the Acme United Methodist Church.

He was a co owner of Laurel Mountain Sporting Goods and he was an over 50 years member of the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department. Lanny was one of the original coaches for the Mount Pleasant Midget Football League and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Crosby Ulery; his son, Todd Ulery and his wife Janine of Donegal; his daughter, Tricia Brown and her husband Chad of Acme; two granddaughters, Brooke Ulery and Hannah Brown; his sister, Karen Firestone of Normalville; two sisters-in-law, Carol Ann Ulery of Florida and Pauline Pfeifer of Mount Pleasant and special cousins, Peggy Tepper and her husband Paul of Mount Pleasant, Patty McCracken and her husband Don of Greensburg, Eunice Noel of Scottdale and Eric Meyers of Washington, Pa.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Terry Ulery; brothers-in-law Rodney Firestone and Joe Pfeifer. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon until 8:00 P.M. Sunday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Municipal Building Road and Route 711, Melcroft. Additional viewing will take place on Monday in the Acme United Methodist Church on Route 31 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:A.M., the hour of services with Rev.

John Logan officiating. Interment will follow in the Donegal Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Gera and staff, Excela Health and RNC for their excellent care and concern for Lanny during his illness.
