Obituary for Ivory Allen Akers Ivory Allen Akers, 85 of Brownsville died Monday October 1, 2018 in the Mon Valley Hospital. . He was born July 31, 1933 in Fort Blackmore, VA.

, a son of the late Stonewall Cleveland and Martha Lane Akers. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed by the Ford Motor Co and was a member of the United Auto Workers of America.

He is survived by a son, Randy Akers of Uniontown and a daughter Kathy Akers Burns of Michigan; a granddaughter Amber Martin of Brownsville and several other grandchildren and a sister Glenrose Danner and her husband Charles of Oak Harbor, Ohio. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Ray, Robert and Elwood Akers and sisters Ruby Cook, Ruth Hall and Edith and Mabel Akers. There will be no public viewing or services.

Interment will be in the Normalville Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Pa. To offer a condolence or remembrance please visit www.
