Obituary for Kathleen Tishman Declemente Kathleen your parents were Robert D. Tishman (1891-1964) and Emily Clara (Ruck) Tishman (1893-1966). You were born Oct. 28th, 1928 at your home located in Dunbar Twp.

Kathleen you gave care and support to your parents in their time of illnesses they suffered. Kathleen you were the only sister to three older brothers, Robert Jr. (who died in infancy), and Charles and Melvin who are also deceased. You are survived by Robert Tishman, a nephew and wife Carol of Dunbar, and niece Judy Bokoch of Foster City, California.

Kathleen you were a 1946 graduate of Dunbar Township HIgh School formally located in Leisenring. You were the “Featured Page Editor” of the Dunbar Inquirer School Newspaper and you enjoyed your Journalism class. You wrote an astounding essay that discussed the impending end of World War II and many issues that faced the entire world in resolving the deadliest war every fought on foreign soil by American Soldiers.

You also graduated #2 in your Senior Class as the Salutatorian and made ‘Straight A’s! ” Kathleen you were very involved in activities at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connellsville. Your father Robert was the Church Treasurer and your family attended there.

You served as a Sunday School Teacher and also participated in the Church Choir. Kathleen you became a Mother to your only son Terry Boors who you dearly loved and were so proud of the accolades he earned over the years as and Educator and Paramedic. Kathleen you waited for the food his wife Judy cooked for you and sent to your apartment, especially the ‘roast’, ‘cheesy potatoes’ and ‘sloppy joe’ mix which you enjoyed so much.

Kathleen you became the most avid fan of tennis one would ever find after Lindsey introduced you to the sport while a member of the CAHS Tennis Team. Day or night Channel 168, the Tennis Channel was on when someone came thru the door to see you. Your trusty Steelers’ wreath was on the door when football season came around and you were a life-ling Pirate fan ‘cheered and booed’ when they won or lost!

You also became a viewer of the Gulf Channel after Cody played on the CAHS golf team years ago, Kathleen for many years you were the ‘Sales Manager’ and ‘Buyer’ for Leon’s Ladies clothing store in Connellsville. You were well respected by female customers and their husbands and/or boyfriends decided to purchase something for loved ones. The motto was “Go see Kathleen at Leon’s, she will pick out the nicest clothes for you to purchase”.

Kathleen you married and became the wife of James V. Declemente in June of 1969. Your ‘honeymoon’ to Washington, D.C. and Virginia are documented in your album. The next seventeen years were the best of your life until he passed away in January 1986.

You gave care to him in his time of illness and you have missed his for the last 32 years. Kathleen you became a Mother-in-Law November 1986 when Terry married Judith Jones. Subsequently you became of Grandmother to Cody and Lyndsey their children.

You helped raise them and they were your pride and joy as testament to the countless pictures you carried in your ‘trusty’ purse everywhere you went. Family pictures were prominently displayed at your residence as a doting Grandmother of your two favorite Grandchildren. Next you became a ‘Grandmother-in-Law’ when Cody and Lindsay Zur were married October 2015.

You had a ‘family’ that cared for you daily and will miss your smile. Kathleen you gave care to Laddie, Radar, Kobra and finally Behr your beloved ‘Grand dogs’ and you missed all of them after they passed. You gave care to a stray cat you rescued that was dubbed ‘Katy’ who you gave you faithful companionship for eighteen years.

Kathleen you always gave care to someone else in need. In your time of illness you family friends and ‘caregivers’ came to take care of you day and night. We are thankful we had your presence for all these years and to know Kathleen the kind, caring, person she was.

Now we know you are in God’s Hands and you will received eternal care and peace. We as a family would like to thank the following persons and organizations for the countless hours of care and support that were given to assist our Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother and Grandmother-in-Law, Terry Boors, Judy Boors, Cody Boors, Lyndsey Boors and Lindsay Boors. The staff of Amedysis Hospice; Dr. Paul Means, Dr. Gina Canada, Carol Rockwell, RN, Lisa Apel, RN, Kathy Zebly, LPN, Elsie Crayton, Personal Hygienist, also, Nicole, Celeste, Carol and Chelsey, RN’s.

The office staff of Louanne, RN, Denise, Rachel, Kathy, Michelle and Crystal, Chaplain Lee and Pastor Rob. With your guidance support you made Kathleen’s last days as comfortable as possible. Our words of gratitude to each of you!

We would be remiss not to mention the dedication and kindness of the following ‘caregivers’, Rhea Leapline, Diane Vozar, Sandy Roskos, Jessica Hair, Nancy Heap and Samantha Cooley. Also countless other caregivers who were there to provide assistance. Sue Moore who was dedicated to Mom’s assistance to the very end.

No words of gratitude can describe the care, kindness and friendship you gave to Kathleen for almost 40 years! You were a friend and helped all of us an gave countless hours of care and support. A special ‘thank you’ to Barry and Judy Lynn-Craig for their kindness and help.

Finally, Pastor Daniel Clark of St. John’s Lutheran Church and David Brooks of Brooks Funeral Home of Connellsville. In conclusion the final chapter of Mom’s life on Earth has ended, but she has already begun her journey in the hands of God! We miss you MOM!
