Obituary for Lois M.Ritenour Beatty Lois M. Ritenour Beatty, 79 of Latrobe died Thursday October 25, 2018 at her home. She was born December 24, 1938 in New Stanton a daughter of the late Frank and Martha Ritenour. She was a graduate of the former Youngwood High School, Class of 1956 where she was class valedictorian.

Mrs. Beatty worked as a secretary for many years, including secretary to the Superintendent of the Hempfield Area School District, secretary to the Alumni Director at Findlay College, Ohio, secretary at Vision Quest and she retired as a secretary to the social worker at St. Anne’s Home in Greensburg. She had also worked as a teachers aide in the Sandy Creek Elementary School in the Franklin School District. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Church of God where she was a member of the church choir.

She is survived by her husband Pastor Glenn E. Beatty; two children, Pastor Timothy Beatty and his wife Sharon of White and Deborah Patterson and her husband David of Oakmont and two grandchildren, Gretchen Beatty and Jeffrey Patterson. Mrs. Beatty was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by sisters, Dolores Loucks, Eileen Morrison and Phyllis Adams and brother James Ritenour and two infant brothers.

Friends will be received from 12 noon -4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, Pa. Additional viewing will take place Monday in the Mount Pleasant Church of God form 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M, the hour of services with Pastor James Monticue officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Kecksburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Camp Sonrise Mountain, 490 Caney Valley Road, Markleysburg, Pa. 15459 in memory of Lois M. Beatty. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses especially Linda Hollar for their care and concern for Mrs. Beatty during her illness.
