Hilda Orel Lippus, 100, of Sandusky, passed away on Christmas Eve 2018 in Parkvue Healthcare Center. She was born on October 2, 1918 in Sandusky to the late Nicholas and May (Walborn) Rutger. A 1938 graduate of Sandusky High, Orel, as she was often known, was a homemaker, taking care of her beloved family.

In her younger years, she loved to fish with her husband, Eldon. Orel is survived by her children, Kathy (Dan) Bickley, of Galena, OH, David Lippus, of Cleveland, Diane Hoover, of Huron, and Daniel and Michael Lippus, both of Sandusky; grandchildren, Todd (Beth) Bickley, Josh (Kate) Bickley, and Sandra (Charles) Gillen; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Raegen, and June Bickley, David (Holly) Lippus, and Hunter, Chelsea, and Scott Gillen; great-great-grandchildren, Olivia and Paige Lippus; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Lippus, in 1997; brothers, William, Charles, George, and Edgar; and sister, Martha Schonhardt.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave. , Sandusky.
