Hipolito “Polo” Garza August 13, 1938 – January 08, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Hipolito “Polo” Garza, 80, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by the love of his family. He was a hard working family man, and retired from the City of Rio Hondo, where he was employed for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory, his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Paula T. Garza; children, Norma Garza (Dwayne), Hipolito Garza Jr. (Nora), Hector Garza (Arlene), Mario Garza (Yanell), & Veronica Garza (Joe); 15 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; two brothers & two sisters, Juan Garza, Maria De La Luz, Joel Garza, & Elpidia Gutierrez. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, & other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held today, January 10, 2019 from 3 pm to 9 pm.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 10 am at La Trinidad Assembly of God Church, 213 Madero Ave. Rio Hondo, TX 78583. Interment will follow to Rio Hondo City Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Polo Garza Jr., Hector Garza, Mario Garza, Christian Garza, Hector Garza Jr., Juan Garza, Joel Garza, & David Noe Garza. Arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home, 1002 East Harrison Ave. Harlingen, Texas 78550 (956)364-2444.
