Obituary for Hope M. Ridder Hope Brennan Ridder, 87, of Nyack, NY, peacefully passed away on December 2, 2018. Hope was born and raised in Greenwich, CT. , the youngest of six children of Lawrence and Anna (Lefler) Brennan.

She attended Greenwich High School, and earned degrees from Mt St Vincents, NY and St Johns, Queens. During her careers in Nursing and Social Work, Hope cared for infants, children and families at St. Agnes in White Plains and St. Agatha’s in Nanuet. Hope was a long-time Associate of The Sisters of Charity.

Hope will be greatly missed by her devoted husband, Henry Ridder. Hope and Henry married in 1995. They lovingly became “Hope and Henry on the Hudson”.

Hope loved the mountains and the water. She skied, and, with Henry as the Captain, she sailed the Hudson. The members of the Nyack Boat Club will miss the charm and grace of Hope, Henry’s first mate on The Ensign.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018, 3 PM-6 PM at Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 Broadway, Nyack, NY 10960. (845) 358-0573. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 6, 2018, 10 AM at St Ann’s Church, 16 Jefferson St., Nyack, NY 19060.
