Obituary for Hortensia Rodriguez Hortensia Rodriguez, 90 Wood River, NE Hortensia Rodriguez, 90, of Wood River, formerly of Kearney died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Wood River Good Samaritan Home. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Friday, September 28th at the Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church in Gibbon. The Rev.

Don Rodriguez will officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials in Hortensia’s name are kindly suggested to the Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church in Gibbon or the Kearney Area Agency on Aging. Condolences may be shared online at www. osrfh.com.

Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Hortensia was born February 17, 1928 in Wood River, NE to Henry and Trinidad (Buso) Rodriguez. She grew up around the Shelton area and moved to Kearney in 1970.

Hortensia worked at Baldwin Filters for 10 years and Eaton Corporation for 16 years before retiring. In her retirement, Hortensia worked at the Senior Hospitality Center where she provided housecleaning for senior citizens. She was a member of the Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church in Gibbon where she was active in Women’s Ministries.

She was also a member of Women’s Aglow group. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and cooking. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings Beatrice Bevelheiner of Arizona, Paul (Vera) Rodriguez of California, Don (Vicki) Rodriguez of Shelton, Arlene (Russell) Munoz of Santa Clara, CA, Henry (Karen) Rodriguez of Arizona, Sally Fideler of California, Peter (Sherry) Rodriguez of Arizona, Frank (Barbara) Rodriguez of Shelton; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Hortensia was preceded in death by her parents; sister Esther Cadena; brothers Fred, Manuel, Charlie and Jenarro Rodriguez.
