Howard’s Obituary Howard B. Stoeckel, Jr. of Bensalem went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at St. Mary Medical Center at the age of 97. Born in Delmar, Maryland, Howard was a former longtime resident of Yardville, NJ for 60 years before moving to Bensalem two and a half years ago. While living in Yardville he served as a deacon and elder of the local Yardville Presbyterian Church for many years.

Howard was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. Howard was employed as Foundry Superintendent and later as a Procurement Buyer for De Laval, Trenton, for 30 years. Howard was a 32nd degree Master Mason and longtime member of the Gothic Fraternal Lodge No.

270. He was also a member of The Valley of Central Jersey since 1973. Beloved husband of Margaret “Peg” for 74 years, Howard was the loving father of Howard B. Stoeckel III and his wife, Marietta, and Linda Wright and her husband, William.

He was the devoted grandfather of Benjamin Miller, Scarlett DeRosa (Nick), Heather Karpinsky (Scott), and Rachel Wright and the great grandfather to Madison, Gabe, Jake, Nate, April, Grant, Gavin and Arianna. He will be buried at Union Hill Cemetery, Kennett Square, Pa. following a private family service.
